Housing
Short-term housing for homeless families with children, so parents can keep working and kids can stay in school.
Mentoring
Every family is paired with mentors who help with goal-setting, budgeting, credit, and the search for permanent housing.
Pathway to self-sufficiency
Families save the rent and utilities they don't pay here, building an emergency fund and move-in deposit for what comes next.

No roof tonight
Your family is currently homeless — meaning you have no safe, stable place to sleep tonight, and no family or friends able to house you.
Single parent, local roots
You're a single parent with at least one child under 18, and you've lived in Pickens County for at least 90 days before becoming homeless.
Ready to work
You're able to work within 30 days — or you're already receiving disability income sufficient to cover permanent housing costs.
Drug-Free
You're drug-free and willing to complete a background check and drug test. If you're managing a mental health condition, you're currently under a doctor's care.
School-age kids, reachable
Your children are school-age — child care isn't provided during the program. You'll also need a working cell phone with voicemail so we can stay in contact throughout.
All in
You're willing to sign an agreement with Cheryl's Place and commit to your part — job searching, housing searching, maintaining the facility, and working with a mentor along the way.
